Hi everyone, please can anyone recommend a humidifier to buy to help overnight with the dry mouth. I’ve not started RT yet but am trying to be a bit prepared. I've looked on Amazon and the choice is overwhelming.
thank you

Jane

  • Hi. I did buy one after reading in here but to be truthful I think it’s a bit of a placebo effect. It was a waste of money for me.  To help with dry mouth you need something as moist as a hot bath in a small bathroom.
I almost bought a nebuliser for day time but found relief by steaming my head over hot water with a towel draped over my face

I loved my bath though, I fell asleep in it a few times

    Only my thoughts though.

  • I found a humidifier really helpful to me during treatment.  I had it close to my head at night and it really eased my throat.  The downside was that I had to put on the dehumidifier in the morning to get the dampness out of the room!

I got this one from Amazon.  Not cheap but with a large tank and good control over humidity levels I thought it worthwhile.

  • Hi Jane I have the LEVOIT 3L Humidifiers for Bedroom... which I bought on Amazon. My treatment was December and January but I felt I only needed it after treatment ended.  It helped with the mucous and cough.
