Hi everyone. Me  again!!

Day 7 of RT today .

I'd like some advice on teeth brushing ,/ mouth wash routine please ,ie what order to do what ?

Last night I found my gums very sore using my normal brush ,so I will be going onto my soft one ,supplied by the dentist and still use my interdental brushes.

I have anti inflammatory mouth wash , durophat paste , and bioxtra rinse for saliva help , which order is the best each time I do my oral care please ?

Yet another question !!

  • Hi.
I couldn’t use Duraphat for a year because it made my mouth so sore. Hence the varnish which protected me.
So morning was a brush with Oranurse before breakfast.
Brush at lunchtime and before bed.
All the other stuff slotted in as needed but not for 30 minutes after brushing.

  • So clean before food ? Mmm

  • Hi Mark

I was advised to brush 4 times a day with Duraphat, baby brush. I use a weak solution of Difflam as a mouthwash, dental hospital made gum trays for me to use daily...I have a restorative dentistry appointment on the 14th...will enquire about varnish.

  • No just in the morning when your mouth has had time to build soft plaque overnight. Use Oranurse after eating.
