Just come back from overnight stay at hospital for my first Chemo and 2 x associated radiotherapy.
Had 1st RT at 8:40 am .Chemo took 10 hours was started at 3pm and finished at around 1am.
Lots of runs to the loo to decant nearly 8ltrs of fluid !! So up all night really. Lots of more goodies to take home ,3 days of steroids,
Anti bacterial mouthwash X4 a day
Anti sickness medication use when needed ? I was thinking of taking it anyway for preventative reasons ,but was told not too ,any thoughts on that would be appreciated.
Bioxtra mouth stuff .
What I wanted to know was anyone get side effects from their first chemo? Crisplatin .
Laying on sofa at moment just tired from lack of sleep I think.
Cheers everyone Mark x
Anti sickness medication use when needed
No. By the time you need it it’s too late. Take it anyway.
I didn’t have chemo but I know plenty who did and that’s what they did.
RadioactiveRaz had pretty heavy chemo and got away without being sick. She always put it down to taking everything she was given.
Im sure she will be along shortly. I know she and John are watching sexy flamenco in Granada tonight so maybe not till tomorrow
Well done on leaping your first hurdle.

Hi Spider.
Good to catch up with your progress here! I can see why you stayed in last night!
I think a spreadsheet is a must. I will start drawing a template for mine now although my treatment doesn’t start until 11th November. I guess they may differ slightly for individuals although it would be a great idea to have a template to give people an idea. I will certainly post mine when I get to that stage.
