That doesn’t happen though the viral aetiology is the same

Theoretically you could have two separate infections  

Have you been having smear tests? If you have and they have been negative it must be something else

Smear test was due next year(5 yearly) and all have been clear in past. 

I hope it’s something easy to deal with. 
You’ve been through enough already. 
I have a friend who had tongue cancer, treated successfully then developed womb cancer but she has spent her life on immunosuppressants for rheumatoid arthritis so I suppose her risks are higher. 
Nevertheless it was spotted pretty quickly and she is fine now.

My HPV tongue cancer appeared when I was 68. I was too old for an NHS smear but I kicked up such a fuss I had one done and it was negative. 

Thankyou, I hope it’s nothing sinister but like everyone on here I’m paranoid over everything. I’m hoping a good result on the 6th November makes me feel more positive x

Will I have regular smears as I’m hpv +  Five yearly is a long time to go for checkups
