Me again,
Since my surgical tongue biopsy last week ,I've got really sensitive of what my throat / tongue feels like. Twinge here ,dryness there etc ,and it starts my thoughts off again !! Am I just anxious ?please tell me I'm not alone with this one. How's best to cope ? Try and ignore these sensations ?
Sorry for all my silly questions
Mark
Hi mark try to chill. You’ve had a biopsy it’s bound to be sensitive remember if you bite your tongue accidentally it hurts. You’ve had a biopsy so if will be tender. The waiting’s the worst part hope you get your results soon.

Try and ignore these sensations ?
Yes.
I had a pretty invasive biopsy AFTER treatment and even that settled down after a few days but what doesn’t settle is your imagination. Just keep busy. There is nothing you can do to alter the outcome

Good evening Mark, its because you are overthinking things at the moment which only makes things more difficult to cope with. It will not be long until you get your results, waiting is one of the worst periods so try and keep busy so your mind is occupied, i used to do jigsaws, crosswords, go shopping, or visit my brother. As Hazel said it will be uncomfortable where the biopsy was done, all the best.
