Hi
After a tonsillectomy in July I was diagnosed with tonsillar cancer T2N1M0 SCC HPV+ in L palatine tonsil. The histology came back over a month ago.
At the time of the histology and diagnosis my tongue, lungs and oesophagus were all clear.
I am now about to start chemoradiotherapy but in the month of waiting for treatment I believe the cancer has spread - my tongue is now numb on one side.
What should I do?
Will my tongue now need to be operated on as well?
Or would the chemoradiotherapy potentially kill the cancer there too?a
Happy to receive advice or thoughts.
Best wishes
My tongue cancer was inoperable but radiotherapy fixed it. I’m five years clear so try to trust what your team had planned.
