Hi I know the water blisters are normal now after finishing RT. I get a few every day which are really painful especially if situated near back of throat or surrounding area making it very painful to swallow and eat. Any suggestions on his to manage them and how long do they last for after treatment. I'm going into 8 weeks post RT for tongue cancer. Thank you .
Hi Jg123,
Pain in throat/mouth from blisters or ulcers is a nightmare .
Difflam and Benzydamine mouthwash can help numb it a little , I found saltwater gargle was also useful.
Mine took a few months to go as like many others I kept getting oral thrush aswell.
Make sure you have some good pain relief and keep taking it regularly, different meds work for different people but speak to your Cancer Nurse specialist asap to try and get something to help asap
Debbie
