Hi, the sores will get better eventually, I know what you’re going through the mouth wash will help if you tell your MDT about it they might give you some mouth spray that has an anaesthetic effect hope it helps

Mine lasted for a couple of months on and off, I had more trouble with the feeding tube to be honest, I think the spray was called diflam spray

Hi Jg123,

Pain in throat/mouth from blisters or ulcers is a nightmare .

Difflam and Benzydamine mouthwash can help numb it a little , I found saltwater gargle was also useful.

Mine took a few months to go as like many others I kept getting oral thrush aswell.

Make sure you have some good pain relief and keep taking it regularly, different meds work for different people but speak to your Cancer Nurse specialist asap to try and get something to help asap
