Mouth Cancer

Hi everyone, I was just diagnosed last Tuesday, June 11, 2024. I'm still waiting for the other results regarding the stage, etc. Do you have any advices or thoughts I should know? I'm also looking for someone to talk to.

    Welcome but sorry to see you here. There are plenty if people here to talk to. No question is silly and there is usually somebody around to answer it. 
    Whereabouts in your mouth is your cancer. That would help us give you some advice.

  • Hi Online Hope, sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Once your results are in, your team will have a meeting to decide what the best treatment plan is for you. You will then be called in to discuss the plan, if you can take someone with you, there is a lot to take in, also ask any questions you have, take a note pad so you can write things down. Once you have your treatment plan you will feel better about things. Be assured these cancers respond very well to the treatment, and the cure rate is very high. Any worries or questions just ask, someone will always answer if they can.

    Most people on this forum have walked the cancer walk.... treatment is tough but plenty of sound advice and support available..  try to keep Google to a minimum.. ..NHS, Macmillan, Cancer Research UK.

  • Hi we are  a friendly bunch always willing to help. When yiuve a bit more info we can give better answers. My cancer was HPV positive tonsil cancer   with lymph node involvement. I’m 6 years almost post treatment living a great life.
