Primary tonsil area spread to lymph nodes - immunotherapy

Hi, I am new to this who thing, the forum and the disease.

I went to the doc after a lump appeared in my neck. I had a bot of a swollen tongue for many months as I had dental work and we were adjusting teeth to stop them hurting my tongue.

Anyway that led to xray/bloods (all clear on both), CT scan and ultrasound with needle biopsy. This showed cancer was in fact there. This was followed by another biopsy of the tonsil area direct and and MRI scan. I spoke with the ENT the next day but no results were in from the biopsy.

So Friday, I met with the oncology specialist (I think)  who said the treatment would be chemo and immunotherapy. This is as long as my blood tests show I can have those.

I just wonder has anyone else taken this route and what they can share about it as opposed to the chemo plus radiotherapy, which seems more common.
