Good morning all,I hope this message finds you all as well as you can be,I’m after a bit of reassurance if at all possible…so my Husband completed his 6 weeks Radio/chemotherapy just over 6 weeks ago, this was for his sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma T4,he is showing signs of slight improvement with his throat swallowing and eating etc but he is still experiencing bad headaches,we have tried to decrease his painkillers as advised by oncologist team but he is still struggling,is this normal do you think? Is it a sign that things haven’t improved as much as we had hoped and prayed it would? We know the tumour has significantly shrunk but we also know has fast it grew in the first place,I can’t help but worry,we won’t find anything out until late Feb,early March I believe, another nightmare waiting game,we are trying as always to stay positive but it’s like we have a big dark cloud hanging over our heads.Any reassurance would be greatly received even honest not so great answers also xxx
Hi Anxious71, well done to your husband finishing his treatment. As you know the treatment is brutal and it does affect us during and in recovery in many ways, it takes time for things to settle down and heal. If he has a checkup soon, he can ask about it then, if not you can give his team a call, for reassurance.
Ray.
Give his CNS a ring and say how worried you are. Hopefully they can put your mind at rest

Good evening Anxious71, please contact your head and neck team (maxillofacial) so they can check him over, im surprised you have not seen anyone since the treatment. They might change the medication or do a scan for peace of mind, all the best.
