Is this/ has this happened to any of you. Had my treatment, had PET scan ( results next Wednesday), still struggling to eat which I know is to be expected but for the last week cough, cough, cough. So sore and it’s so dry. I don’t have any cold symptoms but my voice is getting less and less. Hurts to swallow still thus the eating issues and still sticky mucus Clearly I’m concerned that my voice box has been effected. I’m so hoarse and bloody ear ache again.
Hi NixtheNoo
Get in touch with your MacMillan nurse to ask about the coughing and ear ache. I didn't have treatment to the same area as you as I had jaw cancer but even now I sometimes get a coughing fit that seems to be related to my dry mouth which then results in a dry throat which irritates it. I find sucking a dry mouth lozenge can help. The lozenges I use are called TheraBreath and I get them from my local chemist. Might be worth giving it a go. I'm sure that your voice box has not been affected and it is a side effect from the coughing but always best to get anything checked that is causing concern.
