Hi Turi. Yes it’s a known side effect. 
I have a friend on this. He drinks a whole glass of water after the pill which has sorted the problem but do contact your GP

I have been on sertraline for about 9 months and I don't suffer acid reflux. the side effects I have are a slight shake in my hands and a big increase in dreams/nightmares.I take my tablet in the morning with my breakfast

My pharmacist has on the label "take with or just after food or a meal and avoid grapefruit/grapefruit juice"

I hope you get comfort quickly and as Dani said contact your GP

The label on my packet doesn't mention the food advice just the grapefruit.I have an appointment 2/8 will mention it then.Thanks for the advice

Thanks alot.I will contact them on Monday hopefully hearing then when I'm getting PEG fitted next week and will know when I can make an appointment.
