I have just had a dentist check up, while I was there I asked about having teeth extracted after having RT. She said if I did need any out in the future they could be done at the dental surgery, she said now it's over 5 years ago since my treatment, it would be ok. I thought any teeth extractions had to be done at the hospital, regardless of when you had RT. What's your thoughts on this?
It's great that you had a dentist check-up and got some insights about having teeth extracted after undergoing RT. Your dentist mentioned that if needed, extractions could be done at the dental surgery now that it's been over 5 years since your treatment. That's interesting!

I was told not to have teeth out at dentist, I am under a specialist dentist because of mouth opening restriction, I had to have a tooth out 4 weeks ago before I start treatment for recurrence throat cancer and but the specialist dentist wrote to the hospital for guidance and maxilo facial took the tooth out
I would ask the ENT department for advice because of the risks involved, I was told by the hospital that the risk remains for life
