Hi I was just wondering if there was any body in the forum who has had immunotherapy for base of skull cancer and how they felt as husband worried that he's sleeping a lot after initial course due again in two weeks . I f somebody could find time to answer i would be very grateful as I understand that we are all going through the same journey but at different speeds

  • I have a friend on Pembro. He reports headache and aching limbs and a tickly cough.

  • Good evening Cardmaker, i have never had this treatment i just had radiotherapy and chemotherapy but i should think the side effects are very similar to tiredness and fatigue, i think you are one of the first to post about base of skull cancer but hopefully, someone will be able to comment more about it. I would not worry about sleeping too much at this moment in time as the more sleep we get the better the recovery will be, i used to have a nap after my treatment. Wishing you both all the best, take care.

  • Thank you for replying so quickly I keep telling my husband that he slept a lot after and through his chemoradiotherapy for his primary tonsil soft palette base of tongue cancer (not now visible ) but he still questions the fatigue element . (Base of skull cancer inoperable so immunotherapy being tried .) I also tell him that his body has been through a lot as ended up on a mechanical vent in icu after tonsil up then three from the end of his chemoradiotherapy contracted sepsis mind you he's not the world's best patient !!!!!  Lynne
