I've been researching cream to apply during radiotherapy.
Oloa vera has been used for sunburn, when my hubby asked the radiotherapist if he could use Oloa they said just use the Epimax paraffin subscribed. Just wondered what everyone else had done or is doing to help the sunburn effect in the early stages.
I suppose my theory if Oloa properties are helpful with burns then any little help in the earlier stages is better than just moisturiser for dry skin conditions which come later..?
Be grateful for any experience or info anyone has with this..

PS. If you would like any beeswax lip balm ( I make it myself) drop me a private message and I’ll send you some. Free of course.

Thank you for your blog I have read through it and read some of it to my hubby.. it has been a light on all things radiotherapy and symptomatic of said treatment.
Lots to take in and choices to make but it all helps find a way through this inevitable challenging time for anyone who has to endure this.
The radiotherapy team, the oncologist team are all there to get us through. There's is no doubt you feel this from them all. But for me (as a carer and I'm sure patients too) this forum is so important and medical teams should be advertising it because of the personal benefits. Most importantly you know everyone on here has walked the walk which is so powerful and encouraging.
So thank you for your openess and willingness to share.I plus your time given to such a cause. I wish you well and continued health. Xx
I'm jist adding to my earlier post re creams/gel. We've double checked with the radiotherapy team and they said aloa Vera is fine just to make sure it is applied so when you arrive for radiotherapy it has been absorbed by the skin.
It was a bit vague as to what before actually meant. Our app times are all over the place hence clarification. So this is what we were told.
Thank you everyone for your respsones. X
Hello.
I finished my radiotherapy (35) at the end of January,
I used pure Aloe Vera gel from Holland and Barrett and over the top of that the really thick oily cream. I put it on immediately as I came out of the session- whilst I was changing out of my gown. As a result I didn’t burn. I had a slight pink tinge but. I burns.
I also used e45 morning and night which was okayed by my nurse
