Anyone any experience of immunotherapy particularly Pembromizulab. I have Head and Neck cancer but as I am just as interested in its side effects as I am with its efficacy so any comments appreciated
Hi Jenson. Welcome to the Community. There are a few folk on Pembro here and there have been some remarkable results. . Put Pembrolizumab in the search function at the top of the page. There are 27 posts in this group. Have a good look round. Best wishes.

My dad had Pembro for terminal mouth cancer. He had finished radiotherapy and no other treatment except Chemo was an option, until we got him on Pembro. It worked well for 14 months, he felt better, reduction in tumour growth, overall had a positive effect but unfortunately stopped working after 14 months as tumours started increasing in size. Side effects were fairly mild, he came out in an itchy rash that he could just about control with anti histamines, no other side effects. When they took him off it I then found a trial that we have managed to get him on to - https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT05329532 - which you may want to investigate as it is only for 4 types of cancer, one of which is head and neck, and they are also trialling a cohort using the trial vaccine alongside Pembro. He is having the first go at the trial tomorrow, and is in a pretty bad way to be honest, so I am not sure what we can expect from it but hoping it gives some improvement for a while. Good luck with it all, and have a look at that Modi-1 trial

He is very late stage unfortunately, this was really a last roll of the dice. There isn't any chance it will improve naturally so end of the road for the trial.
Hi oh dear am so sorry. Hope they can make him comfortable at least. Thank you for popping back in.

Oh so so sorry. To get your hopes up to just get them dashed is devastating. All I can hope for us that things can be easy for you all. Is there hospice at home available where you are? Hugs.
