Had scan results yesterday not what I was hoping, I have 2 new lumps at base of tongue he can't see if they are cancer or not, so now waiting to hear what's going to happen out of 2 scenarios, 1 is having biopsies taken from them, 2 is having them cut out, feeling very deflated and fed up today!
Hi Kazz sorry results have shown 2 new lumps. You got your results back very quickly did he say what time period they are looking at for further treatment. Was hot spots mentioned? I was 18 weeks when I had my pet Ct scan think you are just over 12 weeks. It can happen know a few who have waited and a few who went down the biopsy route. I hope for your peace of mind the decision is taken quickly. All I can offer is hugs and the words it’s extremely rare for our type of treatment to fail at the first hurdle.

Hi Kazz I’m so sorry that’s pants news.
I had a hotspot on my PET which had to be biopsied. It was 8mm so big one. Thankfully no cancer was found so let’s hope it’s just inflammation and scarring.

Good evening Kazz55, never good news when they find lumps, they can now deal with the issue of whether they are cancerous or not. I have had a few false alarms along the way with my cancer and still have a small lump on my neck that was checked and got the all-clear. It is not very often it will return so quickly but it can happen so the sooner they do more tests etc the better it is for all concerned. Wishing you all the best for the next step, take care.
