Hello All
My wife got a juicer and I am a little disappointed so far. Some of the fruit when juiced is so acidic? that when I drink it the burn is terrible, too much to tolerate. So far a pear is the only one thing I can tolerate, an apple was a little tart but tolerable, but melon and strawberry for instance was the worst burn!
Any suggestions of know fruit that will not burn, or even a known resource I can study to try and get some juices I can actually drink.

Hi Malc - I'm starting wk3 of treatment tomorrow and have been doing my smoothies every day, but noticed the acid burn today (from raspberries, blueberries, strawberries ... my favourite anti-oxidants!).
So, I've tried banana and avocado and a sweet apple (pink ladies) - quite tolerable. With lots of plain yoghurt (full fat) and top up with milk (I use either oat or almond milk). I use spirulina powder and wheatgrass powder too, which still provides the anti-oxidants. I've been throwing in walnuts and brazil nuts for extra calories. Honey for sweetness and calories! But I'm going to miss my berries if they get too painful!

Banana and avocado whizzed up with ice cream makes a wonderfully nutritious shake. Add peanut butter slowly while the liquidiser is running and you are adding masses of protein. Dilute with full fat milk if it’s too thick

Hi Malc, I'm like you where i cannot drink any fruit juices except pear which is not readily available like orange, apple etc. Some cherries are ok but it's finding the right one. Watermelon is lovely as it does not have a great deal of taste but is nice when ice cold. Wishing you all the best.

Hi Chris
I have to eat with my food to be blended. One thing new to me is frozen smoothies now being sold. Probably been around for sometime but I have just come across them. I had a green smoothie with Kale, spinach, mango and apple. I found this surprisingly pleasant, something I would probably not have considered buying. My partner bought this for me so I thought better try, there are also other fruit ones. So easy to do - add mix to a blender with water and blend. It is so nice. I have some inflammation in my mouth and did find it soothing. I am glad you mentioned the ice cold bit.
Best wishes
Nicky
