Hey Zakaroo....well done for getting so far. Sorry about the scary bit. Week 4 is when I ended up dehydrated in hospital to get a drip and an NG tube in. I'd been managing on paracetamol till then but the pain hit me like a sledgehammer....completely unprepared for the suddenness.
A few days later and my morphine kicked in nicely and while I didn't actually sail through the rest I was comfortable.
Keep going...you're nearly there.
Best wishes
Dani

Good evening Zakaroo, well done in getting through your treatment as we all know how difficult the side effects can be, i think it happens to all of us when we get these down days also the loss of weight. It seems your team is on the ball which makes a big difference in giving you the reassurance you need. Wishing you all the best for your next 6 sessions, take care and thanks for the update.

Hi Zakaroo. Well done on getting to this stage. Just wanted to thank you for your account of your experience as hubby is due to start his RT and chemo on the 25th of April and was comforted when I read out to him what you had written about your journey (even with the hiccups). He knows it is different for everyone and won't be plain sailing, but to see that you had more good weeks than bad has given him (and I) some hope! Good luck with the rest of your journey!
Thank you for your lovely message. I wish your husband well and you of course. Positive thinking is a wonderful thing!! My team that i have fir radiotherapy have been amazing we have a proper good laugh and joke . The chemo nurses are also fab I only had 2 lots of chemo but they were 8 hour days and it wipes you out!!! Tell your husband, to just listen to what you are told and keep on top off all meds and if you or he is worried about anything plrase talk to your team they are there for you, it's crazy to think some people don't listen which then makes it hard for them. Wishing you all the best. Keep us updated on his progress .
