Hello wonderdul people
Just a quick question.
My treatment starts 28th February!!!
When we are having treatment do we have to isolate, or are we able to carry on as normal well.as normal.as we can, and see friends and family?
Thanks Tracey xx
Hi Tracy I would take advice from your clinical team. Early on in Covid I asked my team and their view was that I was at no greater risk than any other person from Covid. Clearly jabs et al have helped us all stay safe. I think the real issue is if you get Covid what the impact on your treatment may be through not being able to come into the hospital. It is a dilemma about seeing friends and family. Maybe enhance your precautions without being scared of Covid allowing you to safely see people whilst protecting yourself. In the end (I guess you are having radiotherapy) it is "only" 6 weeks and maybe as you get into treatment you may not have the energy to see people any way.
Hi. You’ll still get your radiotherapy if you get covid. They will just put you last at the end of the day. Peter is right. If it’s just for a few weeks keep the family away.
