Morning everyone.
How you all doing on this wet and windy morning?
Well it's been 2 weeks since PEG was fitted, and this morning I have woken up feeling like me again. Had a fab nights sleep and slept on my side, woke up with no pain .
I have had a lovely shower, and was able to shave my legs so I don't look like a yeti now . My parents are coming to pick me up and we are going for a walk round the town centre.
Treatment starts 28th February.
Take care xxx
Oh well done. It’s been a bit if a trial for you. Enjoy your walk. If I ventured out here in west Wales I would be swimming

Great news. Good it's settled before treatment. Hope you enjoyed walk.
Make sure you enjoy all your favourite food between now & 28th!!
Are you having Cisplatin? I didn't need to do my legs for about 8 weeks, but only had a bit of thinning on my head and the bald bit from radiotherapy that looked like an undercut. Take these silver linings when you can.
Take care, Gill x
Hey,
Yes I'm having cisplatin. I intend to eat all my favourite food lol was told to eat what ever i want!! I was told I would only lose a bit of hair around the hairline. Really enjoyed getting out for walk even in the rain I am meeting a work colleague for a little walk today.
Hope you are well

Yes. Just a crescent shape at the nape. It grows back.
Make sure you tell them if you get any hearing problems with the Cisplatin and good luck

Most folk have no problems but some do and it can be severe and permanent. It's no problem, the team change the drug to Carboplatin which is less toxic. Some people don't have the whole course, but that is no problem either. The chemo just tops up the RT which is what does the job.

I had a bit of tinnitus before treatment and cisplatin can make it worse. Mine did increase during treatment, but it was monitored and I managed all 6 chemo. The tinnitus thankfully has virtually gone, better than before treatment even.
Just keep letting your team know any changes you notice and they will do what's needed.
I finished in April and hair regrowth is about 3 inches now, so I can tie it up with the rest again. Most people didn't notice it.
