As per the heading, a bit random, but has anyone who has had a diagnosis of an HPV related cancer had any problems with long term skin rashes, eg granuloma annulare.
I have suffered with this for many years, not badly but it's there. When I was researching it myself I saw a link with the HPV virus. Following my treatment and chemo, a particular patch seemed to fade, I wondered if it had been eradicated. I have noticed now however a couple of small patches coming back. It is bothering me a little, a little reminder that the virus is still there perhaps??
Just wondering if anyone else knows anything of this??
Hi Lemon, thought I'd reply too. I was diagnosed way before my cancer was that I had Granuloma Annulare and Erythema Nodosum. They knew something was going on in my body as my white blood cell count was raised suggesting I was trying to fight something but they couldn't find the something .and didn't seem that concerned at the time. There was no mention of HPV at that time. Both eventually went after a few years of flare ups.. It doesn't automatically mean you have cancer. I know exactly how you feel though as I felt the same. I had been with the same partner (my husband) for 30+ years at the point of being diagnosed with HPV. I agree with all that has been said so far. This GP needs to have some lessons in his bedside manner as well as the virus!
All the best
Thank you for the replies, I wrote my first post last week when I was absolutely freaking out. I went today for my colposcopy, they did find abnormal cells and 2 biopsies were taken. I've now come to terms that it is very common, I'm not disgusting or dirty - which is exactly how I felt. Any1 who has had sexual intercourse even once can get hpv. It is common and medical professionals do not view this as an sti/std (for any1 new coming on here) my local gp was just an asshole to me. I've to wait 3-4 weeks for my results. My mind is put at ease that I will be closely followed up. Also for any1 who doesn't feel comfortable posting wanting to find out information, tic toc is good for valuable information from those who are willing to share more information, just search hpv or colposcopy. I will update when I get my results. If any1 else has had the same results as me; abnormal pap smear with mild cervical abnormalities and job positive and colpocospy mild abnormal changes please update on this x
Thank heavens you talked to somebody sensible.

hi Lemon, No I don't mind. I was diagnosed 8 years ago age 51 with R tonsil cancer. When I was 28 I had abnormal cells in cervix -cin 3. I had laser treatment and negative results every 3 years thereafter.
I don't know if I'm being paranoid but like I've said in my previous posts I've got grannuloma annular, but I always have a sore tongue/gum/ throat, i also said to that gp that i felt a constant throbbing in my neck. I don't know if this has anything to do with it. I'm not a hyperhondriac but I just don't know what is going on. - i also asked the dr today if i had any signs of genital herpes and she said no. It's definitely a mans world. I am aware that I must sound absolutely crazy to any1 reading these posts - but i can't help it. It's just something I can't get used to
