Got the all clear a few months ago but have had a sore throat for a few days , Contacted nurse today and she has arranged for me to see consultant in about 2 weeks time . Silly question really but whats the likely hood of this reappearing after the all clear and treatment etc Thanks All The Best to Everyone

Hi Min
Treatment failure at this stage is very rare so hold on to that thought. I very frequently get sore throats, particularly when the weather changes. My oncologist said that anybody who had a throat irradiated would be prone to it and to just treat it symptomatically. I was loathe to use anything the first time it happened to make sure it wasn't getting worse. He told me that was the wrong attitude and that I should use something. I use difflam spray. I've got used to it. I'm sure your consultant will be able to put your mind at rest.

Hi Dani Funny you saying that as I packed up the morphine and all the pain killers reasonably early and even stopped the difflam mouth wash ages ago . Nurse said to me it was fine to use the difflam spray but throat feels a lot better now. Thanks for the heads up . All the Best Regards Minmax
