Has any tried the Wiltshire Farm Foods Softer Option meals? If so, any comments?

We usually avoid frozen foods but willing to try something. I will also discuss this with my dietitian on Thursday.

  • Good evening Bawbee, i know of a lady who was a community champ with me back in 2008 and she still has these meals, i believe they have different stages from pureed to more solid so it's worth looking into as she said they were and still are very good meals. Glad you are looking into different options, take care.

  • Hi Bawbee

I haven't but do recommend them to folk who really can't stomach another fortisip or liquidised smoothie. They can be a good stop gap to get your interest in food going, and especially if you don't cook. I personally just went on to softer foods and never liquidised anything. It's getting your head round "Food is Fuel." If you can swallow it get it down.

  • I've not had them, but sourced them for my uncle.  The company were very good and friendly and although he did not have the softer option he had no teeth or dentures so chose carefully.  Overall he found them very good and reasonably priced.

  • I bought a kenwood chef puree maker at a very  inflated price since they dont make them anymore and I am sorry to say that they get rusty with use. I cant really understand how they can make such a product. A good ricer should do the job as well.
