I am 5 months post RT after treatment in the mouth. In the last few weeks, got some major dry mouth & in the last week, feeling the need to constantly clear my throat, not so much a cough (although a bit of that). It’s really bothering me, back muscles a bit sore from the clearing throat, the irritation seems like back of the throat. With the risk of a lung spread always a worry (I don’t have any other lung issues, no blood or shortness of breathe, my wife is a medic & has listened to my chest which is clear). With the changes going on it’s hard to know what’s normal or when to raise a flag. Has anyone else experienced the clearing the throat irritation?
Agree with Ray. Sound like reflux. Lots of us get it chronically. I’m on Lansoprazole which keeps it in check
