I found this by accident. MikeO posted it three years ago so thank you Mike.
I thought I might give it another airing
Love that Dani, thanks for pointing it out again; and perfect timing as far as I'm concerned, a cousin of mine was diagnosed with lung cancer just last week, I'll send it to her. She's (understandably) all over the place but she's called the Macmillan help line and I've told her to join the appropriate group on here, sadly she lives 600 miles from me in Moray in Scotland so I can't really pop round for a cup of tea and a chat.
Metastatic SCC diagnosed 8th October 2013. Modified radical neck dissection November, thirty-five radiotherapy fractions with 2xCisplatin chemo Jan/Feb 2014. Recurrence on larynx diagnosed July 2020 so salvage laryngectomy in September 2020.
Thanks Dani it is spot on and captures all the emotion involved with cancer treatment. Wished I had read it years ago when going through my first cancer treatment. I like the way the poor husband was involved as well as we often forget our partners and their reactions.
