hi all I am about to start on a course of immunotherapy in 3 weeks time.

I have had two neck dissections in the last three years due to SCC and have been diagnosed with another SCC.

Has anyone been treated wit immunotherapy?

If so what is your experience of it.

Thanks in Advance

Michael

Hi Michael, I heard from my team that my trial is going ahead & will start next Wednesday so I’ll be a couple of weeks ahead of you. We can compare notes!

  • No it’s not a trial I will get treatment every three weeks for up to two years if needed.

Dr Banner is also looking after me, small world eh?

  • That's good news. I know you were faced with a choice between two sorts of immunotherapy. I hope it goes well. Let us know if you're up to it.

    Thanks Dani,

Congrats on your role too- well done you!

Michael- I thought Cemiplimab hadn’t been approved yet so not available on NHS. It is in Scotland so Swansea too then? It has taken me months to get to this stage but so pleased to get cracking on it now.

  • Oh thank you.

I have an appointment with Russel banner next week. I shall ask him about it.

I say next week.......I better have, it's been 9 months since my last nasoendoscopy
