Good evening Mummy13, there is no set time for the waiting as it depends on the demand and availability of consultants , operating theatres, availability of beds etc . You should not be kept waiting and i would maybe give them a ring if you have waited for more than three weeks. Some times you have to give them a gentle nudge. Best wishes.
