Hi everyone, I'm not very good with tech, and I've never really done any web chats, embarrassing for a 42 year old I know but bear with me!
I have been diagnosed with a snuc during lockdown that has spread to the lymph nodes in my neck and also into the brain cavity. I have had 2 rounds of chemotherapy so far and I am due to start a combined chemo and radiotherapy treatment on the 13th July. It will be radiotherapy 5 days a week for 6weeks and chemotherapy once a week during those 6 weeks.
I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar treatment in a similar area and could offer me a bit of advice about what to expect, I've been told it probably will be quite hard going but any helpful advice or pointers would be really appreciated.
Oh thanks for the advice again Dee, I spoke to the Skull surgeon yesterday because I was told that my meeting was Monday by the ENT Consultant but it turns out that it was this morning.
He said he would call me after but I'm going to call him if I don't hear by tomorrow.
Thanks and take care.
Good luck Alex, I hope u get some answers and clear info
Hi Lollie
Had Biopsy last Wednesday, so she fresh, bit bruised. All they said was some of the tumor was soft bony tissue and the rest seemed aggressive when they touched it.
They managed to remove a walnut size for Biopsy and I will here the results soon.
How are you? X
Hi Alex, how are u doing? Hope ur as well as u can be....
Hi Dee, I've been thinking about you and Chippy recently.
I'm okayish Dee, just had diagnosis. Olfactory Neuroblastoma stage 2. Very rare! I'm booked in for surgery Dec 22nd. I'm petrified, happy they are trying to remove the tumour but they said they are going through the skull and nose and doing some reconstruction to my skull taken from my thigh, they told me I will be in surgery for 6 to 8 hours.
Did your nose hurt Dee and widen?.
How are you?. Have you heard how chippy is doing?.x
