My husband, 82 yrs old, was diagnosed prior to Christmas 2025 with oesophageal adenocarcinoma mestasis to liver/lymph nodes and inoperable. A complete ‘shock’ after various xrays, camera down the throat, informed in writing he was 100% fit. I pushed our GP for him to have an endoscopy which revealed the diagnosis. He is also cardiac patient, triple heart bypass in 2010. Since early January he receives weekly Paclitaxel (compatible with cardiac issues). Tolerating the chemo, but he gets extremely lethargic.
