Husband diagnosed 11 weeks ago now having chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy pre surgery then repeat

So sorry that you and hubby find yourself here, but the folk on this formum are all wonderful and will provide support information and the odd laugh.  It is a safe space so please ask anything.

It is so hard to have a diagnosis so fast and "brutally" identified, so I know how hard it has been for you both.

Although I have prostate cancer I was sent along for a gastroscopy last month, not a pleasant experience but I, luckily, came away with a "cleanish" bill of health but am still awaiting the lab results - so no immediate cancerous growth.

Getting your head around this is going to be difficult but you have made a great first step by reaching out on this forum.  There will be others along I am sure who know more about the specifics.

I finished chemo in May and am just about feeling OK now - so a long few months to get back to something like I was before chemo ( and coming off the steroids was difficult).

You can see our own stories by clicking on our names or the roundel next to it.  If in time you would like to add info bout you and your hubby this is a good way of doing it so that others can see the "what and where are you" bit.

A positive attitude is a great thing to have - and long may it stay that way for you.

It can be useful having good neighbours - I have certainly found that, from the odd lift to an appointment to general well wishing and support.
