The waiting to know,  and what treatment i will have is really hard. I don't know how my body will react to chemo . Will I still be able to run,  even at a slower pace..

 Questions Questions...

So taking it day by day, still training for the Great north run,  until I'm told otherwise.

  • Hi Peter,

Until you have a treatment plan, it is hard to answer your questions. If your cancer is of the adenocarcinoma type and you are lucky enough to be offered a curative intent, then you will likely follow a FLOT-surgery-FLOT pathway. FLOT chemo is pretty tough and there will be days when you will barely make it out of bed let alone contemplate a run (at any pace). Keep up with your training in the meantime though as, whatever route you take, a good level of fitness will certainly stand you in good stead. Keep away from Google and come back here for answers to any questions you might have. We’ve been through it!

  • Thanks, it's just the waiting.  Meeting the oncologist on Wednesday,  so I'll know what treatment I'll be on.
