Another new one to this forum,  just waiting chemo start date and then onto the big op. Last 8 weeks have been a surreal whirlwind of tests but all the medical professionals have been amazing and so kind and my husband been giving me amazing support.
Ive been reading these posts and they have given me a lot of info and also positivity.  I know it’ll be a hard journey but going to take it one day at a time and try and keep that PMA and a smile.

  • sorry your on this journey ! But glad to hear you’ve had amazing treatment ! My treatment was also fantastic I am now 10 months post op and back to my previous life ! I do hope your chemo and op goes well if I can be of any help please let me know!! Tricia x

  • Hi

thank you for the reply -  very reassuring too … I know that i have a huge scary and life changing journey ahead. I’m sure I’ll be posting events and asking questions as things progress. X

  • I feel I was very lucky I didn’t suffer too badly with the chemo and recovered very quickly from the surgery! No one persons journey is the same my journey is on my profile ! I also was very lucky like you  that I also had fantastic support from my husband and stayed positive through out !!

  • I haven’t added profile yet but I did read yours with interest. I am virtually same stage and also same age you were. So although it may be very different for me I will be hoping I can get to a similar place.

  • Hi Pma88

Welcome and thank you for reaching out during this time of uncertainty, (sorry for my delayed response)

The knowledge that the operation is available to you is a positive, though it may be a scary thought, you will be in good hands I am sure.  Also great to read that your husband is giving you amazing support, it is a tough time for you both, and going through it together will be another positive in your treatment and recovery.

With everything going on, keeping your positivity may at times be challenging, but you hang in there, and believe that your MDT will do everything they can to give you the best of results.

The Macmillan team are available on the number in my signature should you ever want a private chat, and if you need any links to other advice or support, just reach out, we will do our best to support you,

    Best of luck

  • Hi Lowe

thank you for your reply. I have just found out my plan has changed to immunotherapy +chemo no op. Mixed feelings a bit unexpected but still keeping positive. I know I’m in the best hands.
will be touching base with others who are on this route too once it gets underway.

  • Hi Pma

Ok, that is something to get your head around now, but after the first 6 rounds maybe they will revisit their original thoughts..  never say never, but at the same time, if that can clear the OC without the op, then that would be a great thing too.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you x
