Hello everyone, total newbie here!
I've just been diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus with high grade Dysplasia and Hiatus Hernia.
I've had 3 endoscopy tests, the most recent this week with more biopsies taken. I'm so confused what I should expect to happen next, I'm told that the results will be 4-6 weeks which seems crazy to have to wait so long. The specialist at hospital has mentioned ablation but had this last endoscopy to take a further look.
I'm taking Omopazale daily, I feel nauseous everytime I eat and only really feel comfortable when laying down flat. I've lost weight and constantly feel tired.
I'm trying to be positive especially when around my wife and family as they worry.
Should I be worried? I'm getting no support from the hospital at the minute.
Any advice would be gratefully accepted
Sorry to hear you’re going through this it’s not easy but from experience the one thing you have to be good at is waiting !! Until you get a diagnosis you probably won’t get any support but please try to stay positive I know it’s easier said than done ! Tricia x
