Hello,i joined for same reason.Hubby has osophegal cancer and starts treatment on jan 6th..Surgery is not a choice for him so reliant on treatments to help.Hope your okay it is a shock to you aswell as Partner so if possible take care of yourself. .Shirley.

my husband was diagnosed on the 30/11. Currently not operable . He started treatment 30/12.  The difference in him is unbelievable in a great way so far

Hi, my husband was diagnosed with Oesophageal cancer, back in April, 2024 - I feel like I am on a rollercoaster and I cannot get off!

I was diagnosed just a month before in March, what has happened to him since then?

I had 4 sessions of pre-op FLOT chemo, then Ivor Lewis esophagectomy and two further sessions of post-op FLOT 

He has stage 3, so they rushed to get him chemo, then more scans, tumour did not shrink, had operation (robotically) in September, then more chemotherapy and so far he is cancer-free!!

We went to the Royal Marsden for 2nd opinion, met with a great Surgeon. Initially told no hope 

Chemo and immunotherapy (touch wood)going great so far in terms of side effects and him feeling better. 

Hope your PET scan is soon , I didn't enjoy the wait
