Hi, my dad was diagnosed with esophagus cancer, he was supposed to get operation but found cancerous cells in liver and prostate so op was cancelled, he got 2 stents fitted at weekend, just looking for any advice going forward, many thanks all

Hello, what treatment is your Dad going to receive instead? 

The nutritionist is the best source of advice, as well as the MacMillan leaflets, I think.

specialist nurses have been a mixed bag, but if you find a good one, just keep asking for them, my one called back a while ago, and all the mental hell we went through yesterday and into the early hours seemed it could have been avoided if explained better!! keep reaching out to us on here, has your dad got soups and shakes, i am on those for the calorie values and they arent too bad, the soups can be tweeked with copies amounts of salt, peppar, spices, is he able to swallow atall, any weight loss, x
