As I said in my previous thread ,my dear dad as been diagnosed with oesophageal junction cancer with evidence of stomach cancer and the is spread to the liver. T4 N3 M1. Looking at the report again it is saying the tumour is 42cm . Sure a tumour that size would be impossible in that area . Could they have ment 4.2cm?
I just want to add what others are saying. They measure from your back teeth as 0 and your stomach as 40cm. Most oesophageal cancers are at the junction of the stomach and so are at 30-40cm. They sometimes talk about skip lesions where it jumps upwards using the lymph nodes, so they may talk about other measurements. If you don’t understand reports and results call your clinical nurse specialist. You should get given a number for them. They are your first port of call and won’t think you’re bothering them. There are no stupid questions. They can take you through everything. Take care xx
Thank you so much for your kind words. This as all been such a shock and he's become so poorly so quickly . With staging at T4 N3 M1 I know it may be mths rather then years but I pray everyday for a miracle. Take care xx
