Hi,I just found this forum....my mum is in hospital with stage 4 oesophageal junction cancer with NG tube she is unable to tolerate the feed and oramorph not helping, so she is not getting any nutrition hoping for a stent Wednesday but even then I'm not sure whether that will help
I just wondered what pain relief helped others at this stage we are waiting MDT for treatment plan x
Hi Floss8
I'm very sorry to hear of your mum's diagnosis and that she is in hospital. By now your mum may have had the stent, if so I hope it's been successful. Your mum is in the best place to have her pain dealt with as if she is unable to tolerate orally, it can be given intravenously.
I have a different cancer to your mum but by responding to your post, it will place it at the top, where it is more likely to be seen by other members. I hope matters have improved in the last few days for you both and that the MDT have a plan for treatment. Best regards,
A x
