Thankyou for letting me join this group I've posted a couple of time but i don't think i posted it correct .

last week I  was told that i have OC on the junction of the stomach with a cancer called Signet Ring Cancer . That's my life was turned up side down

and the pain in my wife's face was unbearable for me to watch .

More tests needed to see if I can have a operation to remove it ,so since the Endoscopy and biopsy results that 2 weeks now we have more waiting for these tests  to be completed

I am so scared of the unknown and fear for my wife who is my rock  As anyone got any advise please reply

  • Hi

Really sorry to hear this, I think waiting for tests, results and the action plan are very hard.  I would advise looking at web sites like this and the nhs rather than google.

All the professionals I have dealt with have been great really helpful, interested and supportive so once they know exactly what you are dealing with you should have a good team with you.

I was lucky they found my tumour at stage 3 just before it had spread although a couple of lymph nodes had cancer.  I have now had chemo, an op and currently I’m on more chemo.  It’s hard but I have every reason to believe I will survive this and live a full active life I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.

it sounds like you have a great wife who’s going to be with you through this journey, I know it is hard on my husband but he has been right by my side and I’ve needed him.

    Good luck

  • I think the waiting is absolutely the worst thing.  I'm waiting on more tests, one of which has a waiting list, before chemo can start.  I just want to get on with some treatment, as I'm sure you do too.  Good luck.

  • Thank you we got to hand on in thete

  • Hi

Sorry you're on this journey.  The waiting and the uncertainty are awful. I remember this phase well. There is still more tests to come to check staging but once that's done they can hopefully get going with treatment.  I felt better once I knew what the plan was and I'm sure you will too.

    Take care

  • Thank you for your kind words . We just got to hang on in there
