  • Hi bluefox

Welcome to the fourm, sorry to read of your diagnosis, how did your appointment re treatment go?

Regarding private healthcare, there is always a for and against argument with this, but I would imagine that there is no reason why you would not be able to access support from NHS also.

My husband has been treated in full  by NHS and for us they have done wonders, so it is important to remember that although we all want an understanding of what happens next, what is likely to be happening to us and what the outcome may be, your journey will be unique to you.

Macmillan team are available to you on the number in my signature, they may be able to give you better advice and point you in the right direction on other areas also, such as benefits, nutrition etc.  There is a large section of Cancer types on this website and the one for OC is very informative, I have added a link directly to it, in case you have not looked at it yet.

I do hope you have been given some news in to what will happen next for you, keep us updated.

    Good Luck

  • Hi,thanks for those words of comfort,I find myself in a tug of war now with the insurance company, hopefully it's just paperwork that can be overcome.

Nhs are talking April earliest to start chemotherapy, private is 25th January if I pass criteria.

Macmillan have been great support already,I'm a bit down at moment but will post again when I  can.thanjs.
