Hi Everyone
my husband will be starting chemo soon.
is there a chemo symptom diary available, the doctor said it would be helpful to record side effects how often and duration of.
many thanks
junie
I've just finished 2 months of FLOT chemo prior to surgery. In my hospital we were given a booklet called Your Cancer Care Plan in which the nurse wrote appointments, drugs prescribed. It had a list of side effects, sickness, fever, etc, and when to phone hospital 24 hr number about these. It also had pages for each chemo session where you could write how you felt day by day so you could remember everything if you had anything to report to nurses/oncologists. Perhaps you coul ask hosppital if they supply these. Julia
Very anxious. Going for endoscopy on Monday to check tumour again. CT scan showed tumour had shrunk & swollen lymph note had gone. Meeting surgeon on Wednesday to discuss operation so my emotions are all over the place. Hope your husband's chemo goes ok without too many ill effects. I was lucky not to have too many. Julia
Hi Julia
We are waiting for the first appointment, they say his first chemo should be within 2weeks.
just trying to make sure he has everything he needs and hopefully prepared for the chemo.
your tumor has shrunk and lymph node has gone, that is very encouraging. I will be thinking about you on Monday and Wednesday, hope everything goes ok.
please let me know how you get on.
big hugs
Junie
