Hi everyone I'm 56 and due to start chemo this Tues
I'm t2n0m0 which hopefully is good. Thankgod mines early and can be operated on .
Iv been so very scared and unsure about things, afraid to ask questions incase I get a reply I don't want to hear.
I also keep crying but am definitely trying to keep positive.
I found out after a car accident in which I was the only one that needed a a ct scan with contrast which showed my tumour. Someone's definitely looking out for me.
I was lead to believe its an older person's cancer ? But after reading some of these comments realise it's actually quite common in my age group too.
Iv been told I'm on the cure pathway ? As anyone else ?
I'm also having FLOT chemo can anybody advise how people have been during this chemo.
Thanku in advance
Welcome Shelltotts, we all didn’t want to come to this group and we all most likely felt the same
So sorry that you feel the way you do but you are as you say lucky it was picked up so quick, mine also was with a regular scan for my previous cancer and I am fully cured with just chemo and RT. Always our first advice is DO NOT use Dr Google you will read all sorts and most likely they will be nothing to do with your cancer or your treatment always come back here as someone will come along with an answer
What you should do though is write down all your questions, worries and needs so that when you meet your team whether Oncologist or your Chemo ward nurses you can ask, don’t worry they have heard all sorts and everything.
From now on in just concentrate on getting better, Take Care
Tony

Thanku Kasvin and I am quite positive now to be honest, I think it was the initial diagnosis that scared me silly which in turn set off my anxiety but I will do as you've said and write things down to ask on Tues.
I did do the Google thing lol and was un turn told off by my chemo nurse and I will never do that again.
Again thanku and I'm definitely more positive since ready some other statements on here too.
