Hi,
My husband has just been diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. It's been 2 weeks now since we found out. He had severe acid reflux for several weeks before which got so bad that every time he ate he would almost regurgitate every mouthful. Then the swallowing become really bad. After an endoscopy it was confirmed. CT scan last Monday reveled the awful truth. The cancer has spread to the liver and lymph nodes.
He is in hospital now, he had a stent fitted yesterday. Today is his 64th birthday, we've been married just 3 years after finding eachother late in life. The best 3years ever!! We are both determined that we are going to live life to the full and enjoy being with each other. Don't know how long, they have told us that it is inoperable, we don't need to know. We are just going to make the most of the time we have together.
All this is still stinking in for both of us, it's still extremely raw. Life can be so cruel.
Thank you Suzie, wishing you all the best.
