Hi. I am a female recently been diagnosed with OC which is much more common in men. It is localised & hasn't spread so doctors are positive. Due to start chemo to shrink it as much as possible before surgery. Would like to hear from other female OC sufferers as I feel the odd one out. Julia
Hi. Had 1st FLOT chemo session on Thursday. Thought I was going to be ok but was sick today & have terrible indigestion. Also got a sickly smell at back of nose. Managed to eat something though & started taking my odenestron anti sickness pills. Anyone any advice for relieving heartburn?
Hi Kells. When I came back from the hospital they gave me a number to ring if I had any problems like constipation etc and they were really good. Have you not got any contact number there? Otherwise it’s probably best to ask the GP for advice before you take any medications whilst on chemo. I started on chemo but then had a very bad infection caused by a hole in my oesophagus. I had a stent fitted and now have a scan tomorrow before they decide on next steps. I have been feeling pretty well recently which has been great but there are so many foods I can’t have with a stent that eating is tricky. There’s nothing easy about this but I have just had a fantastic weekend with my daughter and that is a gift isn’t it?
