Thank you all for your responses.

Last night was bad, mostly because I had severe lower gut spasms for a while.  I've bounced back now after a lie in but going to take it easy today, I have a busy day tomorrow and still working.

I've realised that I am going to have to be more careful with eating. I can swallow OK but my tummy is sensitive and I had a nasty dose of hiccups at times yesterday.  Food has to be little and often and my wife has bought in additional supplementary foods.  I have Fortysips but they can be quite heavy.

How is everyone else?

  • Mark, my stomach was buggered when I was first diagnosed and extremely sensitive. If you read my profile I explain what worked for me, but the main thing I did was reduce the acid in my diet as that was causing my reflux. I found avoiding tomatoes, fried food, caffeine(switch to decaf tea) chillies, acids fruits and alchol really helped.

Have you started treatment yet? My stomach settled down a lot after starting Slight smile
