Hi there,
i was told on Wednesday 5th January that l have a small tumour on my Esophagus. I’ve got to have a PET scan next week to see if it’s spread anywhere else, they think it has been caught early although since my first CT scan on 20th December I have a bit of tenderness in my stomach or liver area which is really starting to worry me as now I am thinking it might’ve spread already! I’ve always been an anxious person and an overthinker! Consultant said the way forward would be an operation once I’ve been for the PET scan. It’s all just starting to sink in now and I’m sooo anxious I’ve gone back on diazepam to cope!

Welcome to the forum, I have seen you have an alternative post where you have received some lovely replies already, and because of that I will not put too much here, I just did not want this post to go unanswered.
My one main piece of advice, which seems easy for me to say is.. Please try not to worry so much that it makes you feel very unwell, you will need all the positivity you can muster in the coming weeks..
This is a great place for you to reach out and continue to get support, and I hope you will do so as a way of combating your anxieties even in the smallest of ways.
