Hi, just checking in.. partner is due for PET scan next week after possibly malignant tumour seen on endoscopy..
All the best to you too! The endoscopy took only a short time and we were told straight away what was seen on the camera
were you allowed to be with her at the endoscopy ? due to covid restrictions
Hi, no I wasn’t allowed in, I went in after she had finished about an hours later, so waited outside in car
Thanks for the reply how is she doing in her self ?
Scared and distressed as am I, it’s the unknown that I hate
know how you both feel but hopefully she has age on her side i am 61 so a bit older than your partner. Its seems worse to be dealing with so near xmas as well. Look after you yourselves .
Hi and Welcome,
Please feel free to update us on the PET scan, I know how scary a time the waiting can be...
I am the partner of the person with the diagnosis, so if I can be of any help in the coming weeks, just reach out.

Hi Easter bunny
I read a lot about the cryosponge test, it seems to be a marvellous addition to the diagnosis process for many people, in your case it has shown cancerous cells and hopefully the endoscopy will provide further information quickly and enable you to get the treatment you need.
Please keep in touch if you feel you can, and remember that the Macmillan team are available on the phone or in chat on the computer between 8am and 8pm if you need them.
Wishing you all the best
