So just had my endoscopy large growth couldn’t get past it so need a CT
so now I’m in the system, heads a bit all over the place, but now just waiting on results etc.
So told today that the results of my biopsy are inconclusive, CT scan didn’t help, so now waiting for a second endoscopy ( oh wonderful) apparently this one will be done by a consultant, also going to have a PET scan.
the first endoscopy had issues, couldn’t get past the first growth.
so more waiting.
is this common
im getting to the point where I’m starting to have difficulty eating, down to soup etc..
do you have any dates yet Mark?
Hi,
So I have my second Endoscopy this Thursday, but still waiting on a date for the PET scan...
Hopefully the endoscopy result will give a result this time, as I really struggled with the last one, one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever had, Ive noticed other people don't seem to have any issues with them, maybe I was just unlucky...
Hello my partner has O C . His tumour 12 cm he can’t eat at all . I feel for you it’s an horrible cancer . He started first chemo last week . This week he ate toast and didn’t complain of blocking
fingers crossed it will shrink . Good luck you stay positive .
How was the Endoscopy?
Any news on the PET scan yet?
Hope you are ok

Morning,
The Endoscopy was uncomfortable, but done, had a consultant do it this time and he managed to get past the growth so that was a positive especially as he couldn't see anything else.
PET scan booked for tomorrow
report shows:
Tumour, malignant beginning 35cm from incisors length 2cm.
Specimens: 8x biopsy.
Diagnosis
ESOPHAGUS. Malignant tumour.
STOMACH. Normal.
DUODENUM. Normal.
Evidence of cancer was seen on this endoscopy
so now its hurry up and wait for the MDT and wait and see what they say !
Mark
Thank you for keeping us update, I know that this is a difficult time with all the waiting and I am sorry to read the results of the endoscopy, but I hope you have now had the PET and will hear very soon from the MDT regarding next steps.
