I am two years post op it is 4.00 am and I have been up all night with acid reflux. This is the worst it has ever been.
Hi Labrador11
Sorry to read you’ve been up all night with acid reflux. That sounds really tough.
I just wanted to let you know we have an Awake and Up All Night forum. If anyone is looking for support in the night then posting in the Awake and Up All Night forum may lead to more replies from other members compared to the cancer type forums.
Hope that is helpful. Take care,
Emma (she/her)

Morning
I’ve been awake for most of last night with acid reflux it’s something that I’ve just got used too
Do you take anything for it? I’m on emeprazole 40mg every night with the added bonus of some gaviscon but I find sipping some cool milk helps to relieve
I had my opp in May 2024 so I’m nearly 2years down the line and still going strong albite a few bits missing, but look on the bright side, it’s certainly better than the alternative
Best wishes
Paly

Hi Gin
Unfortunately Dumping is my nemesis I don’t no if its early or late dumping but yes I do suffer with it especially after eating too late or fatty foods
I think I probably one of the only long distance lorry drivers that has to carry a portapoti in the cab because as you probably know when you have to go there’s no stopping it. Luckily I’ve got a very understanding boss
The acid reflux isn’t as bad at the moment but I have to sleep propped up in my bed so I never get a good nights sleep anymore, sometimes I think I’m suffering from insomnia but I’ll just add that to my list of ailments
I’ve got to start work in a little over four hours and I’ve been lying here for hours
can you sleep ok or is it something we all suffer with
Best wishes
Paly

Hi Gin
I had my 6 monthly review to with the upper GI CNS Team and I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I was told the cough/acid reflux and not being able to lie down to sleep is for the rest of our lives so I’m afraid it’s something else to deal with oh and the dumping
