My problem at the moment I'm five weeks into my remission but I have a really bad bouts of coughing producing a white mucus. This seems to be increasing in intensity.Has anyone else found a way of relieving the cough to a manageable level without having to double up coughing? I would be grateful for any help in this matter.

  • Hello Brian

sorry to see that this post has not been answered, great to hear that you are in remission after your stage 4 diagnosis Slight smile

I would suggest speaking with the oncologist to see if you can have another scan, more on your lungs than anything else, as Dal (my husband) experienced similar to you after a chest infection.

I do know that some people with OC do have this mucus problem, but I have not heard from anyone in remission experiencing it, therefore I will bump up your post in the hope that someone else may be able to offer some suggestions.

Alternatively you could always leave a message on the Ask A Nurse forum, or Call the Support line,
